R. Hunt MacMillan III, MD

R. Hunt MacMillan III, MD, original member of Charlottesville Pathology Associates, graduated from The Citadel with his BS and the Medical College of South Carolina with his MD. He completed his Anatomical and Clinical pathology residency training at University of Virginia Medical Center and followed with a one year surgical pathology and cytology fellowship at that institution while he was an American Cancer Society Fellow in clinical oncology. He is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and has been the Medical Director of Laboratory Services at Martha Jefferson Hospital since 1989. In addition to belonging to several other medical societies, Dr. MacMillan is a member of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, Virginia Society of Pathology, American Medical Association, and College of American Pathologists. He is a member of the Martha Jefferson Hospital Board, past Chair of the MJH Cancer Committee, and serves as the Clinical Quality Coordinator for the MJH Cancer Committee presently. During his career, he has published several journal articles and abstracts on topics that are pertinent to the practice of Anatomic and Surgicaly pathology. Dr. MacMillan holds a Clinical Adjunct Assistant Professor of Pathology position at University of Virginia Health Sciences Center.
Thomas H. Dudley Jr., MD

Thomas H. Dudley Jr., MD, who joined Charlottesville Pathology Associates in 1991, graduated from the Medical College of South Carolina in 1986. He completed his Anatomical and Clinical pathology residency training in 1990 at Baptist Memorial Hospital/University of Tennessee and followed with a one year cytology fellowship at that institution. He is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and is the medical director of Histology Services and Blood Bank at Martha Jefferson Hospital. In addition to belonging to several other medical societies, Dr. Dudley is a member of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, American Society of Cytopathology, Virginia Society of Pathology, and College of American Pathologists. During his career, he has published several journal articles on topics that are relevant to Cytology and Surgical pathology. Dr. Dudley holds a Clinical Adjunct Assistant Professor of Pathology position at University of Virginia Health Sciences Center.
Laura L. Spinelli, MD

Laura L. Spinelli, MD, who joined Charlottesville Pathology Associates in 2001, graduated from Albany Medical College in 1995. She completed her Anatomic and Clinical pathology residency training at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Dr. Spinelli continued her training at the University of North Carolina doing fellowships in both hematopathology and cytology. She is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology as well as in cytology. She serves as the medical director of cytology, hematology, serology, coagulations, and urinalysis services at Martha Jefferson Hospital and serves on the Martha Jefferson Foundation Board. Dr. Spinelli is a member of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, Virginia Society of Pathology, American Society of Cytopathology, American Society of Hematology, and College of American Pathologists. She has published journal articles, abstracts and book chapters on topics related to her field. Dr. Spinelli holds a Clinical Adjunct Assistant Professor of Pathology position at University of Virginia Health Sciences Center.
